Your role and responsibility
We are looking for a skilled service technician for our Drives area, who will help advance ABB’s position in the development of future energy-efficient solutions. With us you will not only get an exciting everyday life with technical challenges, but also a supportive community where knowledge sharing and development are in focus. If you are motivated by service, quality and innovation, this is your opportunity to take the next step in your career.
Your tasks and areas of work:
- Service and maintenance of motor controls, primarily frequency converters, including commissioning, troubleshooting and repair.
- Work out with customers most of the time, both alone and with colleagues, and participate in a shift schedule approximately every eight weeks.
- Handle tasks that typically vary from one day to several weeks, with larger projects taking longer.
- Cover a work area that includes all of Denmark, with the possibility of assignments abroad or offshore later in the employment.
- Organizing work tasks in a structured way so that you maintain an overview and can respond to new developments in everyday life.
- You start most customer assignments from your own home and use the service vehicle we provide.
- You represent ABB as an ambassador to customers and provide professional and welcoming service.
Qualifications for the role
- Electrical engineering background such as mechanical engineer, electrical installer, or similar - preferably with knowledge of Drives.
- Be able to analyze a technical issue and advise the customer, in some cases in collaboration with our back-office/support, so that the customer gets the optimal solution.
- Good communication skills and the ability to create a good and close dialogue with several different people.
- You value safety for yourself and others in all aspects of your work.
- You show initiative and a sense of responsibility, which allows you to manage your tasks effectively and meet deadlines in the systems.
- Interest in exploring new areas and developing yourself. Therefore, you don't need to have many years of experience.
